Here in the US we will possibly be soon seeing the Novo7 Android 4 tablet. Let me re-iterate this is not a demo but a fully Google certified Android 4 tablet.

It is surprising that the first Android 4 tablet released to the market is so cheap. It was expected that some of the high end Ice Cream Sandwich tablets would have made it to the market place first. This will be a relatively full featured tablet with a complete install of the Android 4 operating system, with access to all the android 4 apps in the Android Market Place. Although we still haven’t seen one in the flesh, the pictures seem to show that it will have a cheap look and feel. This is an important feature to some whilst others will not find it problematic.
Personally I can’t wait to get my hands onto it. I love my 7 inch tablet pcs. I find them the perfect size for reading ebooks and surfing the web whilst on the way to work on the train. The smaller screen size means that it draws less power, so the batteries usually last longer and when you get to your destination they slip relatively easily into your pocket.
Having said that it will be very interesting when the first 10inch android 4 tablets get released. With the added graphics power of Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich, The big 10 inch tablets will most likely shine brighter than the smaller versions.
Amazon’s Kindle Fire is an obvious target for this tablet pc and this Christmas MIPS and the Novo7 will be gunning for it and at $99 for an Android tablet of this calibre, I think they are on target.
