For those who don’t know Aldi is a German supermarket chain, that has successfully expanded into a number of countries. They tend to be a quirky bit player for the first 5 years or so after they enter into a market but eventually they take real market share from the established supermarket chains. Anyway when I say quirky I mean it. They tend to stock copycat brands of your favorite Lollies, Chocolate bars, Crisps and other assorted food stuffs. Along side that they will have a few name brands and if you venture deeper into a store you will be surprised by cheap tools, electronics, clothing and other assorted things you would not expect in a food based supermarket.
Well Aldi have done it again. They have are about to launch a Dual Core Android Tablet into their Australia market. They call it the Bauhn (another
Aldi trait is to name things funny German words) and it will be running Android 4.0 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich). In Australia Tablets tend to be more pricey than in the USA so a Dual Core ICS Android tablet that sell for a cheap price of $249 dollars is a real bargain.
