Amazon unveiled 3 New Kindle Fire HD Tablets

With the speculation about the iPad mini running rife, it is no wonder that nearly every tablet pc manufacturer is announcing new tablets and upgrades to existing ones. This is especially true in the 7 inch tablet market place. The latest manufacturer is Amazon and they have let loose with the old one two three.

Yep we are going to see three new models of the Kindle Fire HD. A 7 inch Model seems to be the baby of the group. A 8.9 inch model with (wireless only) and a 8.9 inch model with 4g are the two bigger brothers.

This is a great line up. I am very impressed by Amazon’s aggressive pricing and timing. With the imminent release of the iPad mini, Amazon has come out of the blocks racing hard. This appears to be a move aimed at keeping current clients happy and under the Amazon umbrella! Rather than trying to gain new ground in the niche. Amazon has a massive lead in the Android tablet market, although the Kindle Fire tablets are barely recognizable as Android devices. Other than Possibly the new Google Nexus 7, there is no real viable competitor to Apple’s all conquering iPad in terms of sales. Amazon has a loyal base of readers and users, many of whom have followed the brand all the way from the original Kindle eReader. This just another move in a crazy year of Tablet PC releases. 2012 and 2013 are going to go down as the years of the tablet Computer Wars, great for us consumers not so great if you are a Tablet producer, especially if you are a smaller or fringe player. The release date for the 8.9 inch Models is 20th of November 2012!
